Keep Your Servicing Up To Date

Not having your home appliances looked at on a regular basis could void your insurance should a major problem occur as a direct result of a faulty appliance. Don't worry, BTU have a range of annual service contracts, one off repair service and homebuyers surveys to suit your needs.
Your heating system is something you probably don’t think about very often. But think what would happen if it stopped working right now. No warmth, no hot water, no thank you!
Your boiler and appliances can cause you major problems if not serviced regularly, such as carbon monoxide poisoning which can cause brain damage and claims hundreds of lives each year. An efficient boiler will save you money and reduce your carbon emissions.
When did you last have your appliances checked?
At BTU we believe in preventative maintenance, which is why we recommend you protect yourself with our Heatcare contract. You benefit from an annual service of your boiler and appliances and preferential treatment should your heating system break down, with 24 hour call out response every day of the year.
BTU have been installing and maintaining domestic appliances for over 45 years and all our engineers are highly qualified.
All engineers drive BTU liveried vans, wear BTU uniforms and carry a BTU ID card which will be shown on arrival at your home. We will sort everything out for you, we will make contact when your servicing is needed and supply you with all the relevant certificates when the work has been carried out. All our work is covered by our 12 month guarantee and we’re here 24/7 for any unexpected repairs.

Landlords
Gas
Landlords have certain obligations to their tenants when it comes to household appliances and utilities. The first of these, is that you must have an annual gas safety check on your properties, carried out by a Gas Safe Registered engineer and you must also use a Gas Safe Registered engineer to carry out any maintenance and repairs for your flues, pipework and appliances. All these works are covered by the BTU Heatcare contract.
Electrics
At present there is no statutory requirement to have an annual electrical safety check on your rental properties. It is your obligation to make sure that the electrical system, fittings and appliances within your properties are safe under the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 1994 and the The Consumer Protection Act 1987. Failure to do so is a criminal offence.
With this in mind it makes sense to protect yourself and your tenants. You could be held liable for any harm arising from faulty electrical appliances or fittings within your properties.
The BTU Electricalcare contract will alleviate a lot of the worries, knowing that you and your tenants are covered. All repairs and servicing will be undertaken by an NICEIC qualified engineer and is guaranteed for 12 months.
